Scoodi is a community trading web site which allows local people to trade practically anything, for free.
Scoodi exists to help promote sustainable living and support individuals and local groups to take action by reusing practically everything.
By joining Scoodi you can affect climate change by keeping things out of landfill and promoting local trade; returning resources into productive use without costly recycling processes or disposal.
If you've used other reuse networks you'll know that some things are easy to pass on and other things can be harder to find homes for, but that's OK. Overtime Scoodi will build up a community inventory of stuff. We don't delete anything from the database and we give you nice tools to find the things you need, when you need them. When you've finished with something, you can easily put it back into the community.
Scoodi is moderated by the community as a whole. There is no politics, no agenda, no hierarchy and no cost; just everyone working together to achieve a common goal.
Scoodi also provides you with some innovative tools to promote your stuff, your group's stuff and all the stuff in your local area. We've also designed Scoodi to tell you about the stuff that's local to you personally. You tell Scoodi where you are, we'll show you the local booty.
There are several ways to off load your unused stuff and many of those ways go to support big corporations either directly or indirectly. Scoodi is a locally owned small business. The Scoodi web site (www.scoodi.com ) is a free service for the global community, provided by four local technology entrepreneurs just looking to do some good.
